- I have a passion for the outdoors, for the countryside and for walking, a passion which is shared with husband, Aubrey. We founded our small company, 'Country Walks' in 1995 and since then have organised and led a wide range of walks in both the UK and overseas. During this period we have introduced the pleasures and benefits of walking in the countryside to thousands of people. The commentaries, which are a feature of our walks, are based on our research and knowledge of numerous topics related to walking. These topics are wide-ranging, from the poems and literature of the countryside to the history of the landscapes through which we walk. And from time to time we include tips on practical issues or reports on our favourite pubs for lunch! Our aim is to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with others through our Country Walks blog.
